How to play American Roulette?
You can only place bets with coloured chips that each represent a different value. Players must change all currencies for chips before the game begins. In brick-and-mortar casinos, you can change your money for chips at the cashier desk. However, online casinos provide a secure bank page to make these transactions.
- Before any bets are made, the croupier makes the following announcement: «Place your bets!»
- Once all bets are placed, the croupier spins the wheel and tosses the ball in the opposite direction.
- You have approximately 1 minute to place your bets.
- Players must place chips on the table before the time is up.
- Players cannot place bets after the dealer announces, «No more bets!»
- Once the ball lands in one of the numbered pockets, the croupier announces the winning number.
- Payouts are made immediately to the winning bets, and all losses go to the house.
- Once the game is over, another one begins!
The 38 pocket Wheel
As shown in the picture above, American Roulette features 38 numbered pockets that include numbers running from 1 to 36, a single Zero (0), and a double Zero (00). Numbers alternate red and black colours, and the Zero boxes are green.
The numbered slots do not follow suit and are arranged randomly. There is an equal chance of the ball falling into any one of the pockets.
